Connecting Celebrity Expertise to Academic Excellence
As Alan Moore, the noted English author and comic book writer put it, "I didn't really sign up to be a celebrity, I only signed up to be a writer." At the CEP, we examine the projects and businesses that celebrities have entertained, both in their primary fields and well beyond.
The Celebrity Endeavour Project is a rather straightforward exploration of the intersection between the lives of prominent public figures and the business endeavours and decisions that they pursue. Inspired by the Harvard Business School case-study method, the CEP relies on partnerships with the celebrity and a selected MBA student and team to create an analytical piece examining a particular business aspect or decision.
Together, both the celebrity and student select a facet of the celebrity's business to explore and analyze. By meeting for a select number of times over a 3-4 month period, the CEP teams work in concert with the celebrity to develop a paper on the selected topic with the goal of then publishing and presenting their results and product together at the CEP's planned end of year conference at Harvard Business School.
Each team will consist of an MBA student lead and celebrity partner, with a potential team of undergraduate/graduate student support.
